Lucas Araldi is a PhD student in Political Science at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He completed his Master’s degree in International Strategic Studies at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2021 and his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at University of Caxias do Sul (UCS) in 2017. His Master’s thesis was about financing, training and co-optation of neoliberal think tanks by transnational organizations. It sought to answer how a specific transnational organization — Atlas Network — disputes the political hegemony in Brazil. The research was funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). His research areas include neoliberalism, far-right movements and the relation between think tanks transnational networks and climate change denial.
